Sare Demba Toro is a village in The Gambia that currently has no access to electricity. The UN Development Program (UNDP) is funding the creation of a solar powered micro-grid for Sare Demba Toro that will supply electricity to 70 households, one school, one clinic, and one place of worship. Aptech Africa will use your investment to procure, install and deliver the completed solar powered micro-grid system for the UNDP, who will pay on completion.
The system includes a solar photovoltaic array, battery storage, inverter and distribution line to households and other buildings. Small businesses in the village, which include maize milling, a bakery, a carpentry, 7 shops and a wedding venue, will also benefit from the availability of an electricity supply.

Money invested in this project will enable Aptech Africa to deliver a solar powered micro-grid to the village of Sare Demba Toro in The Gambia.
Aptech will install a 120 kWp solar photovoltaic array, with 167kWh lithium ion batteries, and a distribution line at Sare Demba Toro. The new micro-grid will supply electricity to 70 households, a school, a clinic, and a place of worship. It will enable people in the community to improve the services from small businesses, such as maize milling, a bakery, a carpentry, 7 shops and a wedding venue.
